Gen. Armistead placing his pocket watch in

instructions to deliver it back home to his family.

Dedicated in 2000
Located on Gettysburg, PA National Battlefield on the Tanneytown Road,
near the Cyclorama
This 5’ x 6’ bronze bas relief depicts
the 1st and 2nd Delaware Volunteers as
they are engaged in a countercharge against
the left flank of Pickett’s Charge. It is set
in a 21 ton granite stone.

| The Irish Brigade Monument

Dedicated in 1997
Located on the Antietam, MD National Battlefield
The monument is set with two bronze bas reliefs.
One features the 69th NY Color Guard as it charges Confederate troops
at Bloody Lane on the facing side. On the reverse side is a portrait of
Gen. Meagher, the Commander of the Irish Brigade.
Both bronze bas reliefs are set in a 20 ton tablet of Grey Irish granite
imported from County Wicklow
